Jean Monnet Chair Course: EUROPEAN INDICATORS OF POVERTY AND VULNERABILITIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL AND SEMINARS

Anche per l’a.a 2020/21 saranno attivi i corsi co-finanziati dalla Commissione Europea alla Prof.ssa Monica Pratesi nell’ambito della Cattedra Jean Monnet “Small Area methods for Multidimensional Poverty and living conditions Indicators in EU (SAMPIEU)”

Come parte di questo progetto per il triennio 2018-2021, la Prof.ssa Monica Pratesi terrà il seguente corso nel primo semestre dell’a.a. 20/21, accessibile tramite la piattaforma Microsoft Teams.  Il corso si terrà anche in presenza presso il Dipartimento di Economia e Management, nel caso di interesse per la partecipazione in aula occorre inviare una richiesta a mse@ec.unipi.it  per ottenere rilascio dell’autorizzazione che sarà condizionata alla verifica che il numero di studenti sia adeguato alla capienza dell’aula.

Sul corso è mutuato l’insegnamento “EUROPEAN STATISTICAL SYSTEM AND DATA PRODUCTION MODEL” (6 CFU -I SEMESTRE) che è parte integrante del curriculum “OS” della Laurea Magistrale in Economics che ha ricevuto la certificazione ‘Certificate European Master in Official Statistics’ da parte della European Statistical System Committee.

Interverranno inoltre alcuni docenti esterni: Maria Pia Sorvillo e Marina Gandolfo (ISTAT), Jan van den Brakel (Maastricht University School of Business,) Nina Drejerska e Mariola Chrzanowska (Warsaw University of Life Sciences).

TALI CORSI POTRANNO ESSERE INSERITI TRA I 24 CFU A LIBERA SCELTA PER LA LAUREA MAGISTRALE IN ECONOMICS E NEI CREDITI A LIBERA SCELTA DI ALTRI CORSI DI LAUREA, PREVIA AUTORIZZAZIONE PREVENTIVA DA PARTE DEL CONSIGLIO DEL CORSO DI LAUREA.

The following course belonging to the Jean Monnet Chair “Small Area methods for Multidimensional Poverty and living conditions Indicators in EU – SAMPIEU” (chair holder Prof. Monica Pratesi) is active during the first semester of the a.y. 2020/2021 on the Microsoft Teams Platform. The course will be also in presence, in case you would be interested in attending classes in presence, you have to send an email to mse@ec.unipi.it in order to obtain the authorization that would be  released if the number of students will be compliant with the size of the room.

“European Indicators of poverty and vulnerabilities for Sustainable Development Goal and Seminars” (9 ECTS). On this course has been borrowed: the course “European Statistical System and Data Production Model” (6 ECTS), which is part of the “OS” curriculum of the Master of Science in Economics http://mse.ec.unipi.it/ (EMOS labelled).

On that course is borrowed the couse “EUROPEAN STATISTICAL SYSTEM AND DATA PRODUCTION MODEL” (6 ECTS – I SEMESTER) which is part of the curriculum “OS” of the Masters of Science in Economics which has been labelled with the ‘Certificate European Master in Official Statistics’ by European Statistical System Committee.

SUCH COURSES MAY BE INCLUDED AMONG THE FREE CHOICE 24 ECTS FOR THE MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ECONOMICS AND FREE CHOICE CREDITS OF OTHER COURSES, AFTER PRIOR AUTHORIZATION BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DEGREE PROGRAMME.

The course aims to the definition and measurement of coherent and comparable multidimensional local indicators of poverty and vulnerabilities that can be useful for local stakeholders for monitoring Sustainable Development Goals. The course also includes a series of seminars which will be provided by Maria Pia Sorvillo and Marina Gandolfo (Istat), Nina Drejerska and Mariola Chrzanowska (Warsaw University of Life Sciences), Jan van den Brakel (Maastricht University School of Business and Economics).

The Jean Monnet courses are co-funded by the European Union in the framework of Erasmus+ program and they promote active European citizenship and deal with the role of the EU in a globalized world, enhancing awareness of the Union and facilitating future engagement and people-to-people dialogue worldwide.
