Titolo: Organizational Management from a Social and Solidarity Economy Perspective

Abstract:

This document presents a conceptual and methodological framework for approaching organizational management from the perspective of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE), understood in a broad sense that integrates social, popular, feminist, and decolonial approaches. At the conceptual level, the document problematizes the assumptions of dominant organizational theories, historically centered on the private
capitalist firm, hierarchical decision-making, and instrumental rationality. It highlights the limitations of these approaches in contexts marked by labor precarization, social inequality, ecological crisis, and the weakening of traditional mechanisms of social integration. Drawing on contributions from economic democracy, substantive economy, feminist economics, and decolonial perspectives, the proposal places the reproduction and sustainability of life at the center of organizational analysis.
At the methodological level, the document advances the democratization of information as a transversal principle of organizational management. This principle is not understood merely as transparency, but as a redistribution of power related to the production, interpretation, and use of organizational information, constituting a material condition for self-management, horizontal governance, and democratic decision-
making. At the same time, the proposal outlines a line of work oriented toward the development of management tools — such as expanded information systems, plural sustainability indicators, and collective evaluation practices — as well as technical-professional support processes consistent with the realities of organizations and with an economy oriented toward the sustainability of life rather than capital accumulation.
